Electronic Arts is seeking a Lead Game Product Manager for EA SPORTS FC to create engaging live service experiences. This role involves designing and managing live content, leading strategic planning, and conducting in-depth data analysis to impact KPIs. The manager will collaborate with various teams, track gaming trends, and develop content plans based on football events. Key responsibilities include driving monetization strategies, building business cases, and ensuring a positive player experience. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a passion for games and experience in live services.
Must have:
  • Design and manage live content, stories and features that maximize acquisition, engagement and monetization.
  • Lead other Product Managers in strategic planning for your area, ensuring goals are in synergy.
  • Conduct and communicate in-depth analysis of in-game behavior trends using data insights.
  • Create and communicate concise and inspiring roadmaps, strategies and execution plans.
  • Represent the voice and needs of our customers and partners within FC.
  • Determine measurement plans, testing strategies, execute A/B testing campaigns and conduct post mortems.
  • Work closely with the game team to create new live service spaces and drive best-practice strategies.
  • Track and develop an expert level understanding of gaming trends and insights from the market.
  • Create live content stories and plans using a combination of real and imagined football events.
  • Collaborate with internal technical partner groups, being a key stakeholder in technologies.
  • Partner with Central teams and craft requirements for all player facing features.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional partners while driving stakeholder alignment.
  • Must be available on call rotation/weekends.
  • 8 years of Product Management or other relevant Game discipline experience required.
  • Experience leading monetization strategies to maximize revenue generation while ensuring positive player experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build compelling business cases using analytics and market insights.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data driven product design and decision making.
  • Sound and proven ability in using and understanding in-game trends using data insights.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, translating complex analytical findings.
  • History of building and maintaining strategic partnerships to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and projects.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of delivery methodologies in play.
  • Successful live service console and/or mobile games having delivered and maintained at least one product.
  • Leading collaborative efforts both inside and outside of their team.
  • Identifying gaps and iterations in an existing product and choosing a direction to pursue.
  • Designing content, campaigns and features that maximize acquisition, engagement, and focus on monetization.
  • Obtaining insights and developing strategies through analytical metrics driven analysis and design experimentation.
Good to have:
  • A football fan with a good understanding of the core mechanics of FC and its live features, or willing to develop this understanding in the role.

The Live Product Manager's mission, in close collaboration with the wider Live Content Team, is to help create the most engaging and rewarding live service experience for our players. You will have a mix of strategic skills, creative instinct and analytical ability that can help create relevant plans and content strategies that benefit our players.

A Product Manager will partner directly with Producers, Game Designers, Artists and external partners to further the growth of FC.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and manage live content, stories and features that maximize acquisition, engagement and monetization throughout the product cycle in any FC mode.
  • Lead other Product Managers in strategic planning for your area, ensuring the goals are in synergy with other parts of the product.
  • Conduct and communicate in-depth analysis of in-game behaviour trends using data insights and strong business acumen to impact top line KPIs.
  • Create and communicate concise and inspiring roadmaps, strategies and execution plans for your product space.
  • Be passionate about, and represent the voice and needs of our customers and partners within FC.
  • Determine measurement plans, testing strategies, execute A/B testing campaigns and conduct post mortems.
  • Work closely with the game team to both create new live service spaces within our game modes, as well as drive best-practice strategies for new live service levers in your existing product space.
  • Track and develop an expert level understanding of gaming trends and insights from the market.
  • Create live content stories & plans using a combination of real and imagined football events.
  • Collaborate with our internal technical partner groups, being a key stakeholder in technologies that impact the game or live service.
  • Partner with Central teams and craft requirements for all player facing features outside the game team's scope.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional partners while driving stakeholder alignment across revenue-generating initiatives to measure ROI through data-driven decisions.
  • Must be available on call rotation/weekends

Your Qualifications

  • A passion for games with a player first mentality.
  • 8 years of Product Management or other relevant Game discipline experience required (ideally in Live Services).
  • Experience leading monetization strategies or initiatives to maximize revenue generation from a game (ideally a live service) while ensuring a positive player experience.
  • Self-motivated team player that brings excitement and enthusiasm to work each day.
  • Demonstrated ability to build compelling business cases using analytics and market insights to influence decision makers and drive alignment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data driven product design and decision making.
  • Sound and proven ability in using and understanding in-game trends using data insights to impact top line KPIs.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with experience translating complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and external partners.
  • History of building and maintaining strategic partnerships in competing departmental priorities, budget constraints and timeline pressures to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and projects.
  • The ability to adapt to a variety of delivery methodologies in play.
  • Highly desirable but not essential: A football fan with a good understanding of the core mechanics of FC and its live features, or willing to develop this understanding in the role.

Experienced in:

  • Successful live service console and/or mobile games having delivered and maintained at least one product through the product life cycle.
  • Leading collaborative efforts both inside and outside of their team; working with key influencers to effect change.
  • Identifying gaps and iterations in an existing product and choosing a direction to pursue to capture opportunities.
  • Designing content, campaigns and features that maximize acquisition, engagement, and focus on monetization throughout the product life cycle, with an eye for retention & loyalty.
  • Obtaining insights and developing strategies through analytical metrics driven analysis and design experimentation.
