Job Description
We are seeking an experienced UI-UX Lead to lead the design and delivery of world-class user experiences for our next AAA project. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of user-centered design, a proven track record in AAA game development, and the ability to bridge creative vision with technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, own, and drive the UX strategy across the project lifecycle, from concept to launch.
- Collaborate closely with design, art, engineering, and production teams to ensure a cohesive player experience.
- Guide and mentor a team of UX/UI designers, fostering innovation and best practices in workflow and design execution.
- Translate complex gameplay systems into intuitive and engaging interfaces that support immersion and accessibility.
- Advocate for player needs through research, playtesting, and iterative design methodologies.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and scalability of UX systems across platforms.
- Partner with the art and motion design teams to integrate advanced motion graphics and cinematic UI elements into the overall experience.
- Guarantee compliance with console TRC requirements (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc.) to ensure smooth certification and submission.
- Oversee localization pipelines, ensuring that UX/UI systems are scalable, culturally adapted, and accessible to a global audience.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on video game development.
- Proven track record of having shipped at least one AAA title from concept through to launch.
- Mastery of Figma for prototyping and collaborative design.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop (UI textures and layouts), Illustrator (iconography, vector assets), and After Effects (motion design and UI animation).
- Strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5, including UI implementation pipelines, shader workflows, and performance optimization.
- Advanced skills in motion design and creating dynamic, player-centric visual storytelling through interface animation.
- Solid knowledge of console TRC compliance and its impact on UX design decisions.
- Experience in localization workflows, including design for multi-language UI, text expansion, right-to-left support, and culturally adapted assets.
- Deep understanding of player psychology, usability, accessibility, and how they inform AAA design systems.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple platforms (PC, console, cloud).
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and compliance standards.
- Passion for emerging technologies and generative AI tools in design workflows.
