Job Summary:As a Lead UI/UX Designer, you will create the user interfaces for the future Mobile applications used to do Service and Installation of pedestrian doors. Your responsibility will be to deliver design artifacts, such as user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that balance design aesthetics with easiness of use and intuitive functionality. The Lead UI/UX Designer will mainly collaborate with end users and customers to learn first-hand about their workflows, needs and pain points.
You will be part of a global app team with coworkers in Chennai and Sweden but working closely together with different App users, the Firmware Developers of our products and our technicians in various location globally.
Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.
- Collaborate with customers, end users, cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and researchers, to conceptualize and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Work autonomously on visual design and information architecture for apps.
- Translate complex ideas and requirements into elegant, minimalistic design solutions that prioritize both aesthetics and functionality.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with user needs, business objectives, and design beyond best practices.
- Work closely with developers during the implementation phase to ensure design fidelity and a seamless user experience.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to stay at the forefront of UX/UI design.
- Provide clearly defined specs and functional annotations to engineers.
- Proven experience as an App Architect, with a strong background in mobile app development and system design.
- Proficiency in native iOS/Android app development frameworks.
- Good knowledge about standard toolsets (Android Studio, Gradle/Gradle Wrapper, Swift package manager/Cocapods etc).
- Good understanding of the Android application stack (lifecycle, view hierarchy, navigation, state keeping etc).
- Good understanding of the developer testing infrastructure (Unit testing, mock frameworks, concurrency model testing etc).
- 5+ years Experience in creating digital visual design and UI for apps.
- 5+ years Experience in presenting your work, narrating design rationale and advocating your design solutions to various stakeholders.
- Understanding of UX patterns, best practice and when to push beyond such limits.
- You master the art of turning complex challenges into easy-to-use solutions.
- Portfolio that shows deep expertise in how typography, colors, icons, illustrations, and photography come together to shape meaningful and beautiful user experiences.

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, information systems or demonstrated equivalent education and relevant work experience.
- 8+ years of total work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as UI/UX Designer .
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Talented individual with an open mind set, who takes initiative and are eager to learn.
- A result-oriented problem solver by heart that sees solutions instead of problems.
- Team player, who love working with people and are always ready to both help and ask for help when needed.
