Job Description

Stem is seeking a Line Stocker to manage the inventory cage and supply the production team with necessary materials for custom projects. Responsibilities include picking and delivering components using sales orders, accurately identifying items and locations, applying sales order documents, receiving products according to company protocol, managing the Kanban inventory system for stock levels, notifying the purchasing team of low inventory, participating in physical inventories, maintaining inventory records, managing Work In Progress (WIP) counts, attending meetings, meeting picking rate standards, assisting the Return Merchandise team, and maintaining a clean work area. The role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, comfort with computers and spreadsheets, clear written and verbal communication, flexibility, and the ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods.

What we are looking for:

In this role you will manage the inventory cage and supply the production team with correct materials needed to build custom projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Use printed sales orders to pick components from the cage and deliver to the assembly line.
  • Accurately identify components and locations.
  • Apply sales order and related documents to items.
  • Receive product in accordance with Company delivery protocol.
  • Manage the Kanban inventory system to ensure the parts are fully stocked al all times.
  • Notify purchasing team of low Kanban inventory.
  • Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
  • Maintain the active inventory and Kanban inventory in accordance with Company protocols.
  • Manage WIP counts for monthly inventory in accordance with department protocols.
  • Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company requirements.
  • Meet or exceed minimum picking rate standards.
  • Assist the Return Merchandise team in handling RMAs.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly assigned work area.
  • Emptying trash as needed to keep work are clean of debris.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A qualified applicant will have a strong work ethic, and desire to stay busy.
  • Applicant will have a keen attention to detail and high tendency toward accuracy.
  • Must be comfortable with computers and be able to manage spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately via written and verbal methods.
  • Must have one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Flexibility, and willingness to work wherever needed is critical to this position.
  • Legible printing on customer and company forms.
  • Applicants should be able to sit, stand, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, twist, or carry for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

  • Office Setting, primarily in cubicles, some warehouse work.
  • Moderate to high noise levels (i.e. business office with computers, phone, printers, moderate traffic, warehouse use of power tools).
  • Ability to sit or stand (standing desk provide upon request) at a computer terminal for an extended period.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate (talk/sign/type/write) and operate a computer, telephone (or alternative), keyboard (or typing device), etc.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.

This is a hourly non-exempt position, M-F, with additional weekend work as required.

This position is based in Longmont, CO.

Hourly Range

$22.00 - $33.00
