The Manager, Accreditation, will act as the liaison between On Location and Milano-Cortina 2026, managing all workforce accreditation. Responsibilities include collecting and submitting accreditation information, working with internal teams to gather requirements, monitoring application status, and liaising with the MC26 Accreditation department. This role also involves managing a team of coordinators, ensuring data protection compliance, and coordinating pass distribution. The position requires experience in Olympic Games or similar global events, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in managing large-scale event registration and credentialing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as Accreditation Liaison Officer between On Location and Milano-Cortina 2026 Accreditation department to ensure comprehensive collection and submission of all OL workforce accreditation information.
  • Work with On Location Workforce team to gather Accreditation requirements from all On Location Functional Areas to ensure smooth access and operations for On Location staff and vendors operationally involved in Milano-Cortina 2026 Games.
  • Monitor status of On Location Accreditation Applications and follow-up with relevant On Locations functional areas (FAs) to make sure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with On Location Workforce and Technology FAs and Milano-Cortina 2026 Accreditation department for submission of On Location staff and vendor data.
  • Gather second-part passes requirements from On Location FAs, submit requests to Milano-Cortina 2026 Accreditation department, collect Access Cards from MC26 and coordinate their bulk distribution to the relevant On Location FA focal points.
  • Liaise with On Location Legal FA to ensure that internal systems used to capture personal data for the creation of accreditations are fully compliant with all relevant data protection laws and On Location and policies.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of Client Group Accreditation coordinators and liaise with existing On Location resources for seamless, efficient and high-performing integration and coordination for specific projects and tasks.
  • Liaise with Milano-Cortina 2026 Accreditation department for the booking of dedicated time-slots (if possible) and inform relevant On Location FA focal points accordingly to simplify Accreditation pick-up for On Location staff and vendors.
  • Monitor status of On Location Accreditation Pass pick-up with Milano-Cortina 2026 Accreditation department and follow-up with On Location FAs when required.
  • Gather information from Milano-Cortina 2026 Accreditation department and inform On Location FAs on application process and timelines for Fit-Out/Load-In Passes required to access Milano-Cortina 2026 Venues during the setup & dismantling phases of operations.
  • Liaise with On Location Workforce team to capture On Location staff and vendors’ Accreditation requirements for all On Location venues (OVH) for which access is not managed by Milano-Cortina 2026.
  • Develop in agreement with the relevant On Location FAs comprehensive request and distribution policies & procedures of accreditation pass and supplementary access control devices for efficient deployment.

REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Experience working in multiple Olympic Games or other similar global events (FWC, RWC, CWG, etc.) with one or more of the relevant functional areas listed above in the competence of this position.
  • Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Several years of experience managing guest registration and credentialing for large-scale global events or hospitality programs.
  • Several years of experience with accreditation and/or registration systems and databases
  • Experience in managing a cross-cultural team of event professionals within a matrix environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage concurrent priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiy, particularly in the context of event planning and management
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive in identifying areas where support can be provided to meet deadlines
