This role is responsible for managing a team of individual contributors who support a moderately complex regional/global business unit. The manager ensures the delivery of products and services aligned with performance metrics, implements and maintains distribution procedures, and contributes to materials and distribution strategies. They collaborate with suppliers to proactively manage materials, identify process improvements, and resolve supply chain issues. The role also involves hiring, setting performance plans, coaching, and career development for the team.
Must have:

  • Ensure delivery of products and services meet performance metrics.
  • Implement and maintain physical distribution procedures.
  • Consult with business leaders to guide strategic decision-making for materials and distribution.
  • Schedule and host meetings with suppliers to proactively manage material and eliminate shortages.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for distribution process improvement and engage in their design and implementation.
  • Manage materials and distribution activities with internal and/or external parties.
  • Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience.

The role implements and maintains distribution procedures, contributes to materials and distribution strategies, and collaborates with suppliers to proactively manage materials. The role identifies opportunities for process improvement, manages materials and distribution activities with internal and external parties, and leverages industry knowledge to resolve supply chain issues.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of exempt individual contributors who typically support a moderately complex regional/global business unit.

• Holds accountability for materials, distribution, logistics and transportation activities for multiple product lines, ensuring that performance meets regional and global and business requirements.

• Ensures the delivery of products and services that meet the performance metrics defined by senior management.

• Implements and maintains physical distribution procedures, work authorization, dispatching, expediting procedures, and floor scheduling/shop loading procedures.

• Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making for materials and distribution within a limited scope.

• Schedules and hosts meetings with suppliers, both domestically and globally, to proactively manage material and eliminate shortages.

• Proactively identifies opportunities for distribution process improvement and policy development and engages in their design and implementation.

• Manages the materials and distribution activities with internal and/or external parties, ensuing critical activities are identified and issues are resolved.

• Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

• Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.

Salary:

The pay range for this role is $93,150 to $139,650 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
