It's all made possible through intense collaboration by multi-skilled artists and craftsmen between and across our departments. The creativity, passion and tenacity of the Wētā Workshop crew is second to none.
We use our talent pool to store profiles of people that would like to be considered for work with Wētā or have previously worked for us and would like to be considered for more opportunities.
We're looking for people with skills in:
Our 3D design team work with software programmes like Rhino, Illustrator, ZBrush to create designs for manufacture.
These are hands-on, ‘roll up your sleeves’ type jobs for people who can muck in and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.
We’re also keen to meet Jacks and Jills of all trades: people who can pick up hand tools or power tools, handle themselves around chemicals, take direction well and are comfortable getting stuck into whatever labour-intensive job we throw at them.
Wētā Workshop is a health and safety-focused workplace, so we’re looking for people who have a high level of health and safety awareness and the desire to contribute to a safe and friendly environment.

Established by Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger in 1987, we are best known for our screen work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Avatar, and Dune, our immersive visitor experiences, Gallipoli: The Scale of our War, Expo 2020 Dubai’s Mobility Pavilion and Wētā Workshop Unleashed. Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Wētā Workshop’s ground-breaking work has earned us multiple international awards.
