Cloud Imperium Games is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their global team. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the company founder to deliver high-quality campaigns that engage players and drive awareness for their games. Responsibilities include planning and executing marketing campaigns for key updates, events, and milestones; collaborating with various teams; managing creative teams; monitoring campaign performance; and preparing post-campaign reports. The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in games or entertainment, with a strong understanding of digital platforms, social media, and community channels.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of marketing experience in games or entertainment.
  • Experience with running integrated campaigns on digital platforms.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail.
  • Solid grasp of gamer culture and community.

Cloud Imperium Games is looking for a talented and experienced Marketing Manager to join our global team. In this role, you’ll work closely the founder of the company to help deliver high-quality campaigns that engage players, drive awareness, and showcase our universe to the world. From orchestrating global events to crafting data-driven content strategies, your work will be seen across our websites, social channels, trailers, and more.

You’ll be working at the Forefront of the marketing campaign for shipping Squadron 42 – our cinematic single-player story campaign featuring a star-studded cast including Mark Hamill, Gillian Anderson, John Rhys-Davies, and Mark Strong, helping to bring this ambitious vision to players around the world.

Founded in 2012 by renowned game developer Chris Roberts, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) is one of the largest global independent studios, dedicated to delivering next-generation AAA games. CIG prides itself in thinking outside the box, encouraging creativity and developing ground-breaking technology. CIG believes in raising the bar for the gaming industry and the community as a whole.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of standout marketing campaigns for key updates, events, and milestones across our games.
  • Work with actors, partners, brands, and vendors to spread the word and expand the reach of our IPs.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Product, Community, Creative, Development, Growth, and Analytics to keep campaigns sharp, on time, and aligned with our goals.
  • Brief and manage creative teams to produce high-quality assets across video, social, web, and more.
  • Keep an eye on campaign performance, using real-time data and player feedback to tweak and improve results.
  • Pull together clear, insightful post-campaign reports to share learnings and shape future strategy.
  • Stay plugged into the latest marketing trends, tools, and best practices in gaming and entertainment

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally in games, entertainment, or a creative agency setting.
  • A track record of running integrated campaigns across digital platforms, social media, and community channels.
  • Tons of energy and a proactive mindset – you love getting things done.
  • Strong project management chops and eagle-eyed attention to detail.
  • A solid grasp of gamer culture and community, and a real enthusiasm for engaging with players.
  • Confidence working with data to shape decisions and improve results.
  • A love of sci-fi and immersive games is a huge plus.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience marketing live service titles or rolling out major content updates.
  • Familiarity with Star Citizen, Squadron 42, or space sims in general.
  • Background in performance marketing or CRM tools.
