Job Description

The Master Planner will analyze sales trends, collaborate with sales and marketing to understand demand, maintain forecast accuracy, and establish supply plans. They will also manage inventory, generate purchase orders, lead supplier meetings, coordinate with various teams, and support financial processes. Additionally, they will review excess inventory and evaluate supplier performance to meet revenue targets. This role requires strong analytical skills, communication skills, and experience with systems such as SAP and Excel. The candidate will also be responsible for demand and supply planning, material management and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales trends, shipment requests and market data of customers for forecast generation.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to understand demand drivers and orders quantities.
  • Maintain forecast accuracy with reviewing revenue targets and tracking waterfall data.
  • Analyze forecast demand and establish supply plans.
  • Efficient communication on inventory status, delivery commits, potential risks and prevention plans to operations and sales team.
  • Execution of material planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet production deadlines.
  • Track inventory transactions to maintain accuracy.
  • Generate and review supplier purchase orders though ERP system (SAP preferred).
  • Lead weekly supplier meeting and escalation meeting for supply chain requests.
  • Collaborate with Logistics team and Field Service team to ensure the efficient flow of materials for all products throughout the supply chain.
  • Coordinate between Engineering and Suppliers for BOM changes, component changes, and test procedure changes to avoid delay in production schedules.
  • Support Internal Audit and Finance team requirements for quarter-end and year-end materials reconciliation processes.
  • Review safety stock components and strategic inventory level requirements for active products to support key customers.
  • Review excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis, end of life status, last time buy requests, slow moving inventory and bill of material changes each quarter with efficient reporting to finance team.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, review capacity constraints with engineering and identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance supplier delivery to meet revenue targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in demand and supply planning, material management.
  • Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, material requirements, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement material planning strategies, demand/supply planning, optimize inventory levels, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and supplier commits negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with reporting skills to executive audience.
  • Experience with systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Arena / Agile and Excel.

The annual salary range for California is $88,200 to $163,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
