System design: Define and design concepts of electrical systems, such as functions, topology and interfaces (electrical, software, mechanical and human-to-machine). Define and create requirements for electrical and embedded systems, ranging from software characteristics such as timings and signaling to mechanical aspects of electronics such at ingress protection and resistance to vibrations. This also includes reviewing of other people’s designs, schematics, BoMs etc.
Detailed design: Define and create harness schematics and harness drawings. Define system messaging content, such as CAN and LIN bus contents. Define software settings, such as parameters for different configurations (configuration management). Trouble shooting of all aspects of a given system (parameters, software, signals, sensors, actuators and controls)
