We are currently seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. This position supports both front and back office functions and is essential in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be flexible, dependable, and comfortable working in a high-volume setting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
Assisting with minor procedures and exams
Performing in-house tests such as strep, flu, and urinalysis
Administering injections and vaccinations
Supporting telehealth and in-person visit workflows
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
Assisting with front desk duties when needed (check-in, insurance verification, etc.)
Ensuring cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Current BLS certification
At least 6 months of experience in a clinical setting (Urgent Care preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
