Turner & Townsend is a leading independent professional services company, seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor/MEP Cost Consultant with 5+ years experience. The role involves preparing Mechanical/Electrical cost estimates and reports, assisting in market research, supporting business development, and managing cost planning for various projects across Canada. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team, providing leadership and promoting company values.
Must have:
  • Experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor/MEP Cost Consultant with 5+ years experience
  • 4-5 years of MEP Estimating experience
  • A recognized university degree in Construction or a related field
  • Membership in a relevant professional organizations (i.e. RICS, CIQS, AACEI)
  • Prepare Mechanical/Electrical cost estimates and reports for all asset classes
  • Manage estimating, cost planning, and cost analysis for commercial, institutional, and residential projects
  • Lead client and consultant interactions
  • Oversee post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and monthly cost report
Good to have:
  • Certification or designation from a professional organization (i.e. MRICS, PQS, CCP)

You are an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor/ MEP Cost Consultant with 5+ years experience, seeking your next step or are currently working in a similar role within a comparable environment. You’re motivated to join a growing and dynamic team.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. In this impactful role, you will be providing leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.

Job Description

  • Prepare Mechanical/Electrical cost estimates and reports for all asset classes across Canada
  • Assist in market research and analysis of construction conditions in Canada
  • Support Associate Directors in business development and proposal creation
  • Identify opportunities for improving cost management procedures and internal systems
  • Manage estimating, cost planning, and cost analysis for commercial, institutional, and residential projects
  • Lead client and consultant interactions, ensuring project accountability and effective financial management
  • Oversee post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and monthly cost report

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of MEP Estimating experience (preferably in real Estate)
  • A recognized university degree in Construction or a related field
  • Membership in a relevant professional organizations (i.e. RICS, CIQS, AACEI).
  • Certification or designation from a professional organization is an asset (i.e. MRICS, PQS, CCP)
