The Mary Sue is searching for online culture writers to join our team! We’re looking for journalists who get our intersectional feminist perspective and have significant knowledge of, and passion for, geek culture, internet culture, streamers, YouTubers, webseries, social media platforms, The Discourse™, fandom, weird internet memes, politics, and more! Strong candidates should especially be plugged into the 24/7 news cycle. Do you have fifteen notifications pop onto your phone from a variety of sources whenever something happens in your favorite fandom? We want to hear from you!
We cover a wide variety of subjects, with approaches varying from news and opinion articles to evergreen lists and more. You'll be tasked with expanding our online culture section, pitching stories on everything from review bombing on Steam to public figures' controversial social media posts.
