Job Description

The Physical Flow Manager plans and manages the physical flow of materials in a warehouse or distribution center to ensure efficient and accurate material handling operations. This includes overseeing inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving processes, and transportation logistics. The manager will also be responsible for implementing best practices in supply chain operations and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Must have:
  • Plan and manage physical material flow in warehouse/distribution center
  • Oversee inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and transportation logistics
  • Implement best practices in supply chain operations and optimize workflows
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations and enhance productivity
  • Manage daily activities of warehouse staff and provide training
  • Monitor KPIs (inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, shipment timeliness)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, production planning, quality assurance)
  • Implement lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to warehouse management
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management or supply chain operations
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and technology solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, drive change management initiatives
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with supply chain optimization techniques and tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Manage the daily activities of warehouse staff and provide training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, drive change management initiatives, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with supply chain optimization techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
