Job Description

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for creating procedures, implementing processes, and developing staff for managing and maintaining security systems across internal and client environments. This role involves leading an engineering team, defining processes, guiding the design of SIEM content, and managing IGA platforms like Zilla, Saviynt, and SailPoint ISC from architecture to support. The engineer will also design identity lifecycle processes, maintain custom connectors, and collaborate with stakeholders on governance frameworks.
Must have:
  • Lead engineering team by prioritizing client work requests, projects, and service tasks.
  • Define processes and procedures for internal projects with management and service delivery.
  • Guide the design, development, and review of complex security SIEM content.
  • Lead end-to-end management of IGA platforms (Zilla, Saviynt, SailPoint ISC).
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues, providing expert troubleshooting.
  • Design and optimize identity lifecycle processes, access request workflows, and certification campaigns.
  • Maintain custom connectors, REST API integrations, and automation scripts.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define RBAC/ABAC models, SoD policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Perform root cause analysis for sync failures, provisioning errors, and policy violations.
  • Lead technical workshops, knowledge transfers, and mentoring sessions.
  • Contribute to best practices, reusable assets, and solution accelerators for IGA delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement through automation, performance tuning, and process optimization.

Job Details

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for creation of procedures, implementation of processes and development of staff for managing and maintaining security systems across internal and client environments. The Principal Engineer will work closely with Management, Senior Engineers, Solution Architects, Senior Security Engineers, other Principal Security Engineers and clients to complete high profile, critical services to existing Managed Security Service clients. Serve as a subject matter expert and team lead for Managed Security Services, staying in tune with all client configuration issues and all internal projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead engineering team by prioritizing clients work requests, projects and service tasks.
  • Work closely with Management, Service Delivery and other Principal Engineers in defining processes and procedures for internal projects.
  • Guide the design, development and review of complex security SIEM content.
  • Lead end-to-end management of IGA platforms including Zilla, Saviynt, and SailPoint ISC, from requirements gathering and architecture design to deployment and post-go-live support.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting across connectors, workflows, and integrations.
  • Design and optimize identity lifecycle processes (Joiner-Mover-Leaver), access request workflows, and access certification campaigns.
  • Maintain custom connectors, REST API integrations, and automation scripts to support hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define RBAC/ABAC models, SoD policies, and governance frameworks aligned with compliance standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis for sync failures, provisioning errors, and policy violations, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Lead technical workshops, knowledge transfers, and mentoring sessions for internal teams and client personnel.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, reusable assets, and solution accelerators for IGA delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, performance tuning, and process optimization.
  • Complies with all policies and standards

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in IAM/IGA, with at least 5 years in hands-on implementation and support of platforms like Zilla Security, Saviynt, and SailPoint ISC.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying complex identity architectures across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in connector development, API integrations, and identity data reconciliation.
  • Knowledge in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Java) and working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management, access governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience integrating IGA platforms with HR systems, directories (AD/Azure AD), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and SaaS applications.
  • Ability to lead technical teams and client engagements, providing strategic direction and hands-on support.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights.
  • Certifications such as SailPoint Certified IdentityNow Professional, Saviynt Certified Engineer, CISSP, CIAM, or CISM
