Job Description

The Process Engineer will implement Haleon Performance System (HAPS) principles to improve business performance in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost through data-driven approaches. This role is crucial for project management and executing productivity initiatives aligned with site goals, reporting to the Site Operational Excellence Process Engineering Manager. It's fundamental in driving continuous improvement plans to achieve growth and profitability objectives.

Certification of Lean Six Sigma
Certification of Project Management (PMP, PRINCE)

Must Have:

Identify improvement initiatives using data and insights.
Conduct workshops to foster continuous improvement culture.
Devise roadmap for Haleon Performance System (HAPS) activation.
Deploy new systems/F4G projects using project management.
Create communication and visualization plans for HAPS.
Develop governance frameworks for HAPS Phases and projects.
Lead AM & Problem Solving Pillar tools (5S/CL/RCA/SMED) in HAPS.
Improve KPIs with innovative, user-friendly tools.
Facilitate stakeholder collaboration for data exchange.
Define actions from KPI analysis, facilitate CAPA meetings.
Follow up on projects, act as key contact for Operational Excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
3+ years experience in Process, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with Production, Maintenance, Project Management systems.
Experience with Process Improvement, Data Management, Reporting Systems.
Expertise in Operational Excellence Systems (VSM, Root Cause Analysis).
Proficiency in data management, spreadsheets, SAP, Microsoft 365, Power BI.
Highly effective communication and collaboration skills.

Job Purpose:

The Process Engineer will aid in the implementation the HAPS (Haleon Performance System) principles/tools at the site to deliver the Business Strategy, improve Business Performance (Safety, Quality, Service, & Cost), by using a data-driven approach. This role will also play a key role in Project Management and execution of Productivity initiatives that align with the Site goals.

This is a critical role in the OPEX Team at the Site, and will report into the Site Operational Excellence Process Engineering Manager. This role is fundamental in executing the Continuous Improvement Plans for the Site, to achieve its growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify Improvement Initiative by leveraging Data & Insights coming through Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monitoring and tracking.
Conduct workshops/focused sessions to inculcate culture of continuous improvement and enable team to brainstorm ideas for improvement.
Devise Roadmap for Deployment of new framework under Haleon Performance System (HAPS) activation as per Regional / Global timelines.
Effectively deploy new systems / F4G projects via Projects Management techniques from planning till closure.
Create Communication & Visualization plan to create awareness and engage audience to facilitate adoption of new ways of working via HAPS activation.
Develop Governance frameworks for HAPS Phases and other key Projects based on compliance, user, and audit requirements to ensure sustained utilization and performance of Daily Management Systems / Tools deployed.
Play key role in HAPS Phase progression by owing AM & Problem Solving Pillar tools (5S/CL/RCA/SMED)
Improve KPIs through innovative and user-friendly tools and initiate subsequent actions and remediation plans.
Provide platforms for collaboration between the stakeholders to ensure data/information exchange is hassle and delay free.
Define actions to be taken and information to be presented based on the KPI analysis and facilitate meetings and actions involving Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as per Problem Solving pillar.
Ensure follow up of projects and be the key contact for information and actions within Operational Excellence Team.

Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
3 or more years of experience in a Process, FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry
Experience with Production, Maintenance and Project Management systems
Experience with Process Improvement, Data Management & Reporting Systems
OPEX SME - The candidate must have experience in Operational Excellence Systems execution, such as VSM and/or experience in problem-solving techniques (Root Cause Analysis)
Experience of IWS/WCM/OPEN+/TPM Lean Systems will be a PLUS
Certification of Lean Six Sigma will be a PLUS
Certification of Project Management (PMP, PRINCE) will be a PLUS
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical and OSHA regulatory training requirements
Expertise in managing data, spreadsheets, SAP, Microsoft 365 and Power BI dashboards
Highly effective communication (public speaking, presentation, visualization/branding)
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions
