As a Middle Office Analyst at IMC, you will serve as a trusted control partner to the trading desks, ensuring the seamless flow of derivatives trades through the firm's operational and risk infrastructure. You're expected to operate with a high degree of independence and insight, proactively identifying risks, optimizing processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives that support IMC’s high-frequency, global trading operations.
Must have:
  • Validate and monitor high-volume, complex derivatives trades across global markets
  • Ensure trade capture accuracy and resolve breaks between front office, clearing, and back office systems
  • Own the daily P&L validation process, explaining key drivers and discrepancies to traders and finance
  • Support accurate P&L reporting to various stakeholders
  • Act as a critical control point for trade amendments, corporate actions, and expiries
  • Monitor P&L / balance sheet controls, compliance flags, and support audit readiness
  • Identify inefficiencies and champion automation efforts using tools such as Python, SQL, and internal data platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to refine reconciliation, reporting, and alerting workflows
  • Interface daily with traders, quants, risk managers, compliance, and technology teams
  • Support strategic initiatives like new product onboarding, exchange migrations, or infrastructure upgrades
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting are preferred

With 5 years of similar experience, you're expected to operate with a high degree of independence and insight, proactively identifying risks, optimizing processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives that support IMC’s high-frequency, global trading operations.

Your Core Responsibilities:

Trade Lifecycle Oversight

  • Validate and monitor high-volume, complex derivatives trades (e.g., options, futures) across global markets
  • Ensure trade capture accuracy and resolve breaks between front office, clearing, and back office systems

P&L and Reporting

  • Own the daily P&L validation process, explaining key drivers and discrepancies to traders and finance
  • Support accurate P&L reporting to various stakeholders

Control and Governance

  • Act as a critical control point for trade amendments, corporate actions, and expiries
  • Monitor P&L / balance sheet controls, compliance flags, and support audit readiness

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify inefficiencies and champion automation efforts using tools such as Python, SQL, and internal data platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to refine reconciliation, reporting, and alerting workflows

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Interface daily with traders, quants, risk managers, compliance, and technology teams
  • Support strategic initiatives like new product onboarding, exchange migrations, or infrastructure upgrades

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting are preferred
  • 5 years similar experience in banks, hedge funds, trading firms
  • Product knowledge in listed and OTC derivatives
  • Proficiency in tools like Python, SQL, Excel (VBA), and internal monitoring systems
  • Strong understanding of clearing workflows and attention to detail
  • Calm, structured approach in fast-paced environments
