You’ll play a central role in shaping sustainable transport infrastructure for future generations — from roads and railways to tunnels and bridges. Working with major clients such as the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet), Rail Net Denmark (Banedanmark), and international partners, you’ll be part of projects that make a real difference in society.

In this role, you can look forward to:

  • Leading complex and high-profile projects in an international context
  • Collaborating with experts across disciplines and geographies
  • Contributing to innovative, functional, and sustainable solutions
  • Being part of a culture that values both professional excellence and team spirit

If you’re motivated by driving impactful projects and want to bring your leadership skills into play in a global environment, this is your opportunity.

About the Role

Our team is dedicated to designing and delivering a wide range of infrastructure structures, including new concrete road bridges, platform structures, underground constructions, sheet pile walls, retaining walls, steel bridges, and many other types of civil engineering works.

As a Project Director in Bridges & Structures, you will take on a central leadership role with broad responsibility for both project execution and portfolio management — ensuring that complex infrastructure projects are delivered successfully from start to finish.

Specifically, you will:

  • Direct and oversee complex infrastructure projects with a focus on cost, time, and quality
  • Lead portfolio management activities, ensuring resources, priorities, and performance are aligned across multiple projects
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide strategic reporting to management and clients
  • Communicate risks and project status while maintaining strong internal and external relationships
  • Contribute to design development while supporting and strengthening your colleagues’ professional expertise
  • Provide guidance and support during site supervision and construction management
  • Oversee operations and maintenance activities on selected projects
  • Lead or support tender preparation and bid processes

You will become part of a professional environment that values knowledge-sharing and collaboration. At the same time, you will engage with our international network to strengthen the transport sector. Your daily work will be characterized by great colleagues, exciting technical challenges, and significant influence on how both projects and the overall portfolio are delivered.

Qualifications

We imagine you will be a great fit for this role if you are motivated by both professional and personal growth, have a passion for leading complex projects, and can demonstrate the following:

  • A relevant degree, for example in engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project leadership (more senior leadership experience is an advantage for a Project Director role)
  • Solid experience in the design and execution of bridges, tunnels and civil structure projects
  • Proven experience with municipal and public-sector projects
  • Familiarity with operations and maintenance of civil structures
  • In-depth knowledge of road regulations and applicable standards
  • Professional proficiency in both Danish and English, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Beyond your technical expertise, you are quality-conscious, accountable, and collaborative. You are eager to share knowledge, support your colleagues’ development, and contribute to a culture of excellence.
