Job Description
Our Integrated Connected Product team delivers complete hardware and software solutions that power our bikes and enhance the rider experience.
As the Project Manager, you will oversee all R&D projects within this team—from initial scope to final production. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Directors, Engineers, Designers, Suppliers, and category teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires someone who can juggle multiple projects, manage details without losing sight of the big picture, and create effective backup plans when challenges arise.
What You’ll Do
Strategic & Long-Term Planning
- Partner with Product Management and Directors to create long-term roadmaps for your category.
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Create detailed engineering project plans and integrate them into bike project timelines.
- Monitor risks, identify potential issues early, and prepare contingency plans.
- Ensure every project meets deadlines, stays within scope, and comes in on budget.
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders.
- Develop effective communication methods for project updates, weekly issues, changes, and critical milestones.
- Provide detailed follow-through from planning to production.
- Escalate issues to management when needed.
Project Prioritization
- Ensure projects start and launch at the right time of year.
- Review launch dates with Product teams to align with Program Management goals.
Process Improvement
- Identify process exceptions and work with the Director of Program Management for approval and documentation.
- Continuously seek ways to improve product development efficiency.
- Apply lessons learned to refine processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in electronics development (project management or engineering).
- Software background a plus (but not required).
- Engineering background a plus.
- Project Management Certification or 3–5 years of project management experience.
- Strong background in project, resource, and portfolio planning.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically 1–2 times per year.
