Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) Manager passionate about quality excellence. This pivotal role involves shaping high-performance products to meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance. Key responsibilities include leading UL certifications (UL 94, UL 508A), preparing for and executing internal and external audits (ISO, UL, customers), and overseeing meticulous quality inspections for PCBs, electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal parts. The manager will also own quality documentation, lead non-conformance investigations, drive root cause analysis, and deploy smart CAPA solutions. Furthermore, the role involves tracking and reporting key quality metrics and inspiring a dynamic QA team to foster continuous improvement and quality ownership.
Must have:
  • Lead UL certifications (UL 94, UL 508A) for components and finished products.
  • Prepare and execute internal and external audits (ISO, UL, customers).
  • Oversee quality inspections for PCBs, electronic assemblies, and sheet metal parts.
  • Control quality documentation: plans, instructions, specs, compliance records.
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA solutions.
  • Track, analyze, and report key quality metrics: yield, defect rates, customer returns.
  • Inspire and coach QA team, fostering continuous improvement and quality ownership.

DUTIES:

  • Lead the charge on UL certifications (UL 94, UL 508A, etc.) for everything from components to finished products.
  • Keep us audit-ready with proactive internal and external audit prep and execution (ISO, UL, and customers).
  • Oversee meticulous quality inspections for PCBs, electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal parts.
  • Own quality documentation—control plans, work instructions, specs, and compliance records.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformances—drive root cause analysis and deploy smart CAPA solutions.
  • Track, analyze, and report key quality metrics like yield, defect rates, and customer returns.
  • Inspire and coach a dynamic QA team—build a culture of continuous improvement and quality ownership.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Quality Management or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience in electronics manufacturing, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience managing UL certifications (UL 94 flammability, UL 508A control panels, etc).
  • Deep knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600) and familiarity with RoHS compliance.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Inspection of Precision sheet metal components and assemblies to detailed drawings or files
  • Knowledge of the DMT / DFR process along with RMA processing.
  • Ability to perform Root Cause analysis and provide data to support findings.
  • Bonus Points For:
  • CQA certification (Certified Quality Auditor).
  • ERP and QMS software proficiency.
  • Experience in high-reliability electronics.
