Job Description
As a Storyboard Revisionist at Blue Zoo, you will be crucial in bringing stories to life by refining and enhancing the visual narrative using initial storyboards and Director's notes. This role requires strong storytelling instincts, excellent drawing skills, and a solid understanding of composition and layout. Your revisions will significantly influence the final storyboards used throughout production. As the sole Storyboard Revisionist for this production, you will provide key support to the broader team, and previous experience on an animated TV series is highly preferred. You will use thumbnails and Director feedback to create coherent and accomplished storyboards, interpret and apply comedic timing from scripts, maintain character consistency and perspective on model, and collaborate with Storyboard Artists, the Storyboard Supervisor, and the Director to ensure all fixes and feedback are incorporated.

As a Storyboard Revisionist at Blue Zoo, you’ll play a key role in bringing stories to life. You'll work from initial storyboards created by the Story team, incorporating notes from the Director to refine and enhance the visual narrative. Strong storytelling instincts, excellent drawing skills, and a solid grasp of composition and layout are essential. Your revisions will help shape the final storyboards used throughout the rest of production. As the only Storyboard Revisionist on this production, you’ll play a key support role for the wider team—so previous experience on an animated TV series is strongly preferred.
This role requires the hired candidate to be based in the UK, outside of London (outside the M25). We are unable to consider VISA sponsorship at this time.

Day to Day:
- Use thumbnails and Director feedback to create coherent and accomplished storyboards.
- Interpret and apply comedic timing from the scripts and thumbnails successfully.
- Maintain consistency and perspective when drawing characters throughout all boards, staying on model.
- Work alongside the Storyboard Artists, Storyboard Supervisor and Director to ensure fixes and feedback has been incorporated into the boards.
