Reality Labs (RL) teams at Meta are looking for exceptional interns to help create next generation interaction technologies for virtual and augmented reality. This role involves working on a full-stack team focusing on computer vision, machine learning, geometric and appearance simulation, and AI image generation. You will be responsible for designing and executing algorithms in the domain of computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, and generative AI. Other responsibilities include conducting in-depth literature reviews, collaborating with the research team to design and implement novel algorithms for synthetic image generation or translation, experimenting with cutting-edge machine learning models and frameworks, analyzing and evaluating model performance, iterating on approaches to improve image quality, realism, and diversity, and documenting and sharing research findings, contributing to technical reports, and potentially publishing in academic or industry conferences/journals.
Good To Have:- Proven track record of achieving significant results
- Contributions to open-source projects, publications, or relevant projects demonstrating expertise in synthetic image generation
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and distributed computing
- Demonstrated software engineering experience
- Experiences working on high volume image data processing or synthesis
Must Have:- PhD in EE/CS, Applied Math or related STEM field
- Experience in Python or C++
- Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow
- Experience in generative AI, computer vision, computer graphics, or machine learning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
