Our Canadian Markets team is seeking a Sales Associate to join our Toronto office. This role is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional to grow and develop their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment. You’ll gain experience working across the full sales cycle – from prospecting and identifying new opportunities to deepening client relationships. ISS MI provides critical and proprietary data, business intelligence, information services and marketing solutions to the global investment management industry. Our Canadian business delivers in-depth research and solutions which allow our clients to rank their competitiveness, monitor product success, prepare strategies and forecasts and stay up to date on trends affecting their business and the future of the wealth industry.
Must have:
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new logo opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to uncover new areas of expansion.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ISS MI’s products and services.
  • Increase ISS MI’s market share, brand recognition, and perception.
  • Accurately document client and prospect interactions in CRM.
  • Share relevant industry and opportunity information.
  • Represent ISS MI at industry events.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated relationship and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task with good judgment.
  • Strong communication and personal interaction skills.
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Innovative, customer-oriented thinker.
Good to have:
  • Experience selling within the Financial Services industry
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a background in Finance, Economics, Marketing or other related discipline
  • Knowledge of the Canadian financial markets

You’ll gain experience working across the full sales cycle – from prospecting and identifying new opportunities to deepening client relationships.

ISS MI provides critical and proprietary data, business intelligence, information services and marketing solutions to the global investment management industry.

Our Canadian business delivers in-depth research and solutions which allow our clients to rank their competitiveness, monitor product success, prepare strategies and forecasts and stay up to date on trends affecting their business and the future of the wealth industry. Our clients include over 200 of the most prominent names in the Canadian wealth market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new logo opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to uncover new areas of expansion.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ISS MI’s products and services, and how clients utilize them
  • Increase ISS MI’s market share, brand recognition, and overall perception in the industry.
  • Accurately document all client and prospect interactions into firm's CRM system
  • Share relevant industry and opportunity information across the sales group and with other departments
  • Represent ISS MI at relevant industry events.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within sales and relationship management - experience selling within the Financial Services industry (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a background in Finance, Economics, Marketing or other related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian financial markets is preferred.
  • Demonstrated relationship and organizational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task with good judgment to help manage priorities
  • Strong communication and personal interaction skills
  • Must be proficient at using Microsoft Office tools
  • Innovative, customer orientated thinker able to identify and match client needs to our solutions
