What you will be doing:
As a Sales Manager/Director within Civil Aerospace, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, developing sales strategies, positioning Rolls-Royce products and services, developing campaign tactics, pitching commercial solutions, and negotiating complex and high value engine aftermarket proposals. This includes management of the internal sales process (the “Sell Value Stream”) which assists collaboration with many other parts of the Customer Team and Services organization. It is a broad and comprehensive role, which involves critical interactions with both our own leadership, as well as seniors within our customers; where the ability to influence and persuade is key.
The main objectives of a Sales Manager/Director are to deliver business returns and maximize profit for both new aircraft and in-service fleets through original equipment sales and long-term maintenance support agreements. As such, Sales Manager/Directors both define and execute the campaign strategy required to win the business opportunity and make the internal case for the resources – financial, people, investment or otherwise – needed to deliver the strategy. They will lead the Rolls-Royce campaign team, which may have both permanent and agile members, internally and in front of our customers. While Sales Manager/Directors report on functional lines into a Vice President Sales, it is crucial that they also operate effectively and consistently as part of the Rolls-Royce multi-disciplinary account team assigned to manage the customer, working closely with, and taking direction from other customer account stakeholders.
