Job Description

The Scrum Master will lead scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum practices. They will help project managers and scrum teams achieve customer satisfaction, guide teams in self-organization, remove impediments, and coach the scrum team on delivering value. The role involves identifying and continuously improving within the Agile framework, resolving conflicts, and helping the team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity. The Scrum Master needs to have strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills with outstanding organizational and planning capabilities. They will also need to encourage teamwork and build team morale, and be self-motivated. Prior experience on a scrum team is preferable. Must have:
  • Lead scrum teams using Agile and scrum practices.
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with delivery of software solutions.
  • Scrum master certification is preferred.

Responsibilities for Scrum Master

  • Lead the scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Helping the Project Managers and scrum teams to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Lead the scrum teams in self-organization
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on delivering value
  • Help the scrum teams to identify and continuously improvise within the Agile framework
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
  • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity

Qualifications for Scrum Master

  • Prior experience on a scrum team, preferably outside of software development
  • Familiarity with delivery of software solutions to external customers is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
  • Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Ability to work with and lead a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Experience encouraging teamwork and building team morale
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
  • Scrum master certification is preferred

Education and Experience-

  • E / B.Tech / B.S in Computer Science or related degree, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • 6+ years of Scrum experience

Additional:

  • Must be flexible with US Shift timings
  • Work from office
