Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SEC Reporting Manager to join its dynamic finance team. This critical, high-visibility role involves managing external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP, and driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will be hands-on, flexible, solutions-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and disclosures.
Must have:
  • Manage the preparation and review of SEC documents, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Prepare and review supporting schedules for financial statements and disclosures
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners for the drafting and review of disclosures
  • Research accounting literature and perform benchmarking analysis over new and complex accounting and disclosure topics
  • Drive operational excellence through automation and continuous process improvement
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control framework related to financial reporting

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented SEC Reporting Manager to join our dynamic finance team in a high growth Company. This is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for managing our external financial reporting process and ensuring compliance with SEC regulations. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. The candidate will be hands-on and flexible, solutions-oriented and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Your Impact

  • Manage the preparation and review of SEC documents, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Prepare and review supporting schedules for financial statements and disclosures
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners (Legal, Investor Relations, FP&A, Marketing) for the drafting and review of our disclosures
  • Research accounting literature and perform benchmarking analysis over new and complex accounting and disclosure topics
  • Drive operational excellence through automation and continuous process improvement
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control framework related to financial reporting

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline, active CPA license strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for experience at a Big 4 and relevant industry experience
  • Proven, hands-on experience with the preparation, review and filing of SEC reports
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance
  • Critical thinker with the ability to thread information together, consider the impact to disclosures and ensure consistency of information within the financial statement disclosures
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and exceptional attention to details
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
  • Proficient with G-Suite/Excel. Experience with Workiva and SAP will be a plus

Additional Information

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) is expected to be between $110000/YR - $179500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
