Senior Accountant, R2R -Temp

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Record to Report, Finance at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team!

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team player that can thrive in a fast-paced environment.  This position will oversee the daily processing of the general ledger, among other responsibilities. 

ABOUT YOU:

You are excited about the media industry and how your finance expertise contributes to the overall business.  The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Close financials and ensure all revenues and expenses are accounted for accurately.
• Daily management of the general ledger and staff
• Analyze revenue from streaming platform partners
• Review contracts of content partners to apply proper accounting treatment
• Assist in maintaining online database of content assets
• Review all journal entries that are processed and ensure they are prepared in accordance with the company policy and in line with monthly close schedule.
• Review bank reconciliations and daily cash management process.
• Review all account reconciliations and ensure they are prepared and reviewed in accordance with the company policy.
• Complete complex research and inquiries of GL transactions.
• Prepare and present quarterly flux presentations to Senior Management.
• Coordinate audit (internal & external) and tax requests including preparation of supporting reports and documentation.
• Continuously identify and develop solutions for process improvement.
• Assist with accounting integration activities, which includes implementing a variety of finance and accounting related solutions.

YOU HAVE:

• Bi-Lingual is preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
