Putnam is seeking to hire Senior Analyst to join its Real-World Evidence (RWE) & Biostatistics group. This role involves contributing to statistical and quantitative analyses for HEOR studies and Health Technology Assessment (HTA), including meta-analyses, clinical trial data, electronic medical records, health insurance data, quality of life, and patient-reported outcomes. The Senior Analyst will be involved in all stages of the statistical process, from data identification and analysis to report writing and slide deck development.
Must have:
  • Support the design, programming, and execution of complex statistical analyses.
  • Support the preparation of study documents, including protocol, statistical analysis plan and report.
  • Contribute to the delivery of quantitative HEOR projects, focusing on statistical analyses.
  • Contribute to statistical input into the wider Putnam PHMR project portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development of publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
  • Support the preparation and delivery of presentations to clients.
  • Accurate knowledge and use of the company procedures.

Position Overview

Putnam is seeking to hire Senior Analyst to join our Real-World Evidence [RWE] & Biostatistics group.

As a Senior Analyst in the RWE & Biostatistics team, you will be contributing to statistical analyses and other types of quantitative analyses in the context of HEOR studies and Health Technology Assessment (HTA). This includes meta-analyses (from simple to advanced forms), analyses of clinical trial data (patient-level), analyses of electronic medical records and health insurance data and analyses of quality of life and other patient-reported outcomes. You will contribute to the development of a broad range of materials and be involved in all stages of the statistical process, from data identification and analysis to report writing and the development of slide decks.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Preferably MSc or PhD in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or related discipline. combined with at least 2-year post-graduation experience;
  • Strong statistical programming experience (in SAS and R)
  • Some knowledge of standard approaches for quantitative evidence synthesis and familiarity with emerging novel/advanced approaches
  • Some understanding of Health Technology Assessment agency processes and guidelines for statistical methods
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Demonstrated analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and ability to plan and deliver high quality work within agreed timelines;
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills (internal/external), including advanced oral and written English (a second language is desired).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the design, programming, and execution of complex statistical analyses, with some level of autonomy
  • Support the preparation of study documents, including protocol, statistical analysis plan and report
  • Contribute to the delivery of quantitative HEOR projects, with a particular focus on projects involving statistical analyses to synthesise data from multiple sources (pairwise meta-analyses, mixed treatment comparisons/network meta-analyses, etc.) or from Real-World Data
  • Contribute to the provision of statistical input into the wider Putnam PHMR project portfolio
  • Contribute to the development of publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts)
  • Support the preparation and delivery of presentations to clients
  • Accurate knowledge and use of the company procedures
