Job Description

As a Senior Animator, you will be responsible for creating keyframe animations and working with motion capture data for in-game assets, adhering to style guides for co-development projects. You will ensure timely completion of animation tasks, partner with various departments, and mentor junior team members. Additionally, you will help set animation standards, build animation systems, and represent the animation team in production meetings, ensuring proper implementation of animations within game engines.
Must have:
  • Proven experience delivering quality player locomotion for AAA PC/Console FPS or TPS games.
  • At least 5 years of experience in game development.
  • Experience animating lively characters and creatures.
  • Experience working with motion capture and keyframe animation.
  • Experience working in-engine and implementing animations into locomotion systems.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Maya.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5/4.
  • Ability to rig and build a new character rig from scratch.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced team members.
  • English proficiency at least at B2 level.
Good to have:
  • Experience with mGear.
  • Scripting (MEL/Python) experience.

As a Senior Animator you will be

  • Creating key frame animation as well as working with motion capture data for in-game assets while following the given style guide of our exciting co-dev projects.
  • Ensuring timely completion of animation commitments at the desired quality bar.
  • Partnering with designers, programmers and other departments involved.
  • Mentoring more junior members of the team
  • Together with the Art Manager and Animation peers setting standards for the animation work, building animation systems
  • Taking part in the production meetings representing the animation project team and reporting on the plans, achievements and difficulties
  • Working in close collaboration throughout different departments to assure propriety implementation of animations within game engines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering quality player locomotion for AAA PC/Console FPS or TPS games.
  • At least 5 years of experience in game development with:
  • animating lively characters and creatures
  • working with motion capture and keyframe animation
  • working in-engine and implementing animations into locomotion systems
  • Using Autodesk Maya
  • working in Unreal Engine 5/4
  • rigging and being able to build a new rig for a character from scratch
  • mentoring the less experienced members of the team
  • English proficiency at least at B2 level
