Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a Senior Application Operations Engineer to join their International Technology team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and stability of critical products with an SRE mindset. The engineer will apply engineering principles to operations, focusing on automation, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement, collaborating with development, infrastructure, and network teams to achieve operational excellence.
Must have:
  • Build broad and deep knowledge of strategic cloud platforms
  • Proactive monitoring of health and trends of services and components
  • Provide technical expertise to support and resolve major incidents
  • Follow up root cause and how to prevent incidents from reoccurring
  • Be part of the 3rd level 24/7 support teams
  • Technical support expertise of various projects across all environments
  • 6+ years experience of enterprise Linux system administration
  • Wizard level on trouble-shooting incidents in large and complex environments
  • Understand the fundamentals of Git/Dev/SecOp, build pipelines, Kubernetes, docker, cloud, infrastructure as code
  • Proficiency with tools like linux shell, ansible, bash, git, selenium, Splunk APM and synthetics
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
Good to have:
  • Experience of monitoring external services/applications, SOAP requests/REST API’s
  • Understanding the fundamentals of database MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
  • Experience with Nginx, Apache, tomcat, jboss
  • Knowledge to trouble shoot TCP and TLS connections

We apply engineering principles to operations work, focusing on automation, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement. The team collaborates closely with development teams, infrastructure platform, and network teams, as well as incident managers, to drive operational excellence and support critical initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build broad and deep knowledge of our strategic cloud platforms
