Job Description

As a Senior Netezza Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse solutions, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and availability of mission-critical systems. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Netezza-based data warehouse objects, designing and optimizing DataStage ETL jobs and DB2 SQL queries, performing database administration, and supporting backup, recovery, and migration activities.
Must have:
  • Develop and maintain Netezza-based data warehouse objects (tables, views, stored procedures, scripts)
  • Design, build, and optimize DataStage ETL jobs and DB2 SQL queries for complex data transformations
  • Perform database administration tasks including schema design, access control, and system monitoring
  • Support database backup, recovery, and migration activities
  • Ensure compliance with security and data governance guidelines for sensitive information
  • Partner with IT and business teams to deliver accurate and timely data solutions
  • Analyze logs, troubleshoot performance issues, and recommend enhancements
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5–8 years of strong experience in Netezza, DataStage, DB2, and SQL
  • Proficient in database performance monitoring and optimization
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
  • Solid problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
  • Experience with Agile project delivery
