Job Description

As a Senior Environment Artist, you will be instrumental in creating immersive and visually stunning game worlds, with a keen understanding of environmental narrative. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and technical teams to translate concepts into engaging and believable environments. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards in modeling, texturing, and PBR material creation, crafting realistic natural and hard surface environments, ensuring consistency with art direction, implementing proper file management, conducting research for authentic environments, and mentoring junior artists.

  • Ensure environments form believable game worlds
  • Maintain art direction consistency
  • Implement correct file naming
  • Conduct research for environment development
  • Mentor junior team members

Job Details

Initially a 12 month fixed term contract.

Remote work available within the UK only.

As a Senior Environment Artist, with an understanding of the importance of environmental narrative, you will play a pivotal role in shaping immersive and visually stunning game worlds.

Collaborating closely with designers, other artists, and technical teams to bring concepts to life, ensuring that each environment is engaging and believable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a very high standard of modelling, texturing and PBR material creation.
  • Crafting realistic, natural and hard surface, interior and exterior environments from white box.
  • Working closely with other disciplines to ensure environments form believable game worlds.
  • Ensure the style is in keeping with the overall art direction.
  • Implementing correct file naming and directory structure requirements.
  • Conducting research to inform environment development ensuring that created work is representative of real world examples.
  • Mentoring more junior members of the team.
