We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Representative to join our GL team. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Accounting for Global Commissions Expense – including accrual, deferral and amortization in line with US GAAP
- Performing/Reviewing various GL month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses, investigating any variances, assisting in preparing internal and external financial reporting schedules and evaluating process and system infrastructure
- Maintaining and enhancing the internal controls over accounting processes and systems, assisting in the annual external financial audit by preparing PBC schedules.
- Leading or assisting with various accounting or other special ad hoc projects, as needed, supporting the quarterly reviews and annual audit requests and inquiries from our external auditors
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications):
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with overall 0-2 year of experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP especially ASC 606, ASC 340.
- Graduate’s degree in commerce background from any college or university.
- High degree of proficiency with Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles and strong problem solving, analytical & organization skills.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualification):
- Articleship from Big4 and experience with NetSuite.
- Knowledge in Sales Compensation Accounting a plus.
