We are seeking a Senior HCM Workday Analyst who is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting, with strong hands-on experience in Workday Reporting and Security administration. This role focuses on Workday configuration, system optimization, and delivering a high level of client satisfaction. The Analyst will resolve complex issues, lead system enhancements, and drive functional improvements across these key Workday modules. The ideal candidate will work closely with business partners to gather requirements, implement solutions, and ensure system integrity and data accuracy, while upholding strong standards for documentation and support.
Must have:
  • Serve as Workday HRMS subject matter expert
  • Resolve complex Workday issues and configuration requests
  • Lead analysis, design, and testing of Workday enhancements
  • Develop, configure, and maintain EIBs for data loading and integration
  • Provide support for integrations and downstream data flow
  • Drive continuous improvement of Workday configuration and processes
  • Own Workday security configuration and audits
  • Drive Workday release management
  • Maintain detailed documentation of HRMS procedures
  • Ensure compliance with change control and audit requirements
  • Create and maintain advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics
  • Implement reporting standards for data accuracy and security
  • 5+ years hands-on Workday configuration and support experience
  • Expertise in Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting modules
  • Strong proficiency in Workday reporting and security administration
  • Experience with EIBs, data loads, and HR system integrations
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting complex issues
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and system implementations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior HCM Workday Analyst who is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, and Recruiting, with strong hands-on experience in Workday Reporting and Security administration. This role focuses on Workday configuration, system optimization, and delivering a high level of client satisfaction. The Analyst will resolve complex issues, lead system enhancements, and drive functional improvements across these key Workday modules. While the primary focus is on these core areas, the role also provides opportunities to support other modules – including those slated for future implementation – allowing for broader functional exposure. The ideal candidate will work closely with business partners to gather requirements, implement solutions, and ensure system integrity and data accuracy, while upholding strong standards for documentation and support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Workday HRMS application by owning end-to-end resolution of complex issues and configuration requests, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal clients by proactively identifying needs, recommending solutions, and implementing process improvements aligned with Workday best practices - building long-term stakeholder trust.
  • Lead the analysis, design, and testing of Workday enhancements, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain EIBs and related tools to support efficient data loading and integration across systems.
  • Provide support for integrations and downstream data flow, including troubleshooting and recommending improvements to ensure system interoperability and data consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Workday configuration, processes, and user experience, identifying opportunities for innovation and system optimization.
  • Take ownership of Workday security configuration and audits, including the creation and maintenance of user- and role-based security groups.
  • Drive Workday release management by leading analysis and testing, assessing new features, coordinating stakeholder readiness, and promoting user adoption through education and support.
  • Maintain and enhance detailed documentation of HRMS procedures, configuration decisions, and system updates to support sustainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with internal change control processes and audit requirements through thorough documentation and controls.
  • Create, enhance, and maintain advanced Workday reports , dashboards, and analytics tools for key stakeholders.
  • Implement reporting standards and practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with privacy and security policies.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday across multiple modules
  • Expertise in HCM, Advance Compensation and Recruiting Workday modules; strong proficiency in Workday reporting and security administration..
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment through knowledge sharing, supporting peers and mentoring junior team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead small-to-medium Workday initiatives or configuration projects from planning through execution
  • Experience with EIBs, data loads, and integrations across HR systems
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting complex issues and developing effective, scalable solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle process and experience participating in structured system implementations
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and process compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in benefits, payroll, absence, timekeeping and Workday Help modules.
  • One or more Workday Pro certifications, preferably in HCM Core, Recruiting, or Security.
  • Basic understanding of HRIS integrations and API workflows.
  • Experience supporting a global HR team and processes.
  • Superior knowledge of MS Excel, Smartsheet, Word and PowerPoint.

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000.
