Job Description

The Institutional Trader plays a critical role in supporting the execution of trades for institutional clients, including asset managers and other large-scale investors. This includes managing trade settlements, resolving inquiries, and ensuring timely communication across departments. Additional responsibilities include assisting with trade documentation for compliance, participating in root cause analyses, and contributing to the development of quality control measures.
Must have:
  • Perform daily duties, including problem resolution using standard procedures and precedents.
  • Manage settlement process for third party manager fixed income and equity trading requests.
  • Monitor emails and respond promptly to issues and questions related to trading from our various partners and departments across the firm.
  • Deliver quality service to clients and communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Escalate issues to senior members of the team and trouble shoot issues that are without procedures or precedents.
  • Establish and maintain strong and cooperative relationships with key contacts in the financial industry to foster a cooperative environment for the resolution of problems and/or errors.
  • Assist others in researching and troubleshooting trading inquiries.
  • Assist institutional trading team with team tasks and functions where needed.
  • Participate in root cause analyses to correct and/or prevent deviations in processes and workflows.
  • Become proficient with the various systems we use for trade execution and securities analysis.
  • Participate with traders to document and record equity and fixed income trades for compliance reporting and review.
  • Assist in developing & implementing quality control measures.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by manager.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • Understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Good to have:
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance is preferred or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work well with a team.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Strong math skills.
