Senior Java Back-End Developer (Live Casino Project)

Stakelogic is seeking a Senior Java Back-End Developer to join our remote team. You will help build and optimise high-load, event-driven components for our Live Casino platform, leveraging the latest Java technologies. Success in this role is measured by delivering high-quality, scalable applications that meet user and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement highly loaded Live Casino components from scratch using Java and related technologies.
• Follow engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and TDD.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, tooling choices, and continuous improvements.
• Analyse and estimate effort for new features based on business requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Java (currently using Java 21).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Hibernate.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Containerisation and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
• Solid grasp of algorithms, OOP principles, and design patterns.

Considered a Plus

• Background in the iGaming industry.
• Experience with WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (SSE).
• Familiarity with ClickHouse.
• Knowledge of NGINX.
• Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with Testcontainers.
