We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Quality Engineer to lead and execute automation and API testing initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise in test automation frameworks, strong leadership in quality engineering practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation test frameworks, driving API testing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the STLC.
Must have:
  • Lead design, development, and maintenance of automation test frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG.
  • Drive API testing strategies and execution using tools like Postman, REST Assured.
  • Develop and maintain scalable automation test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality at every stage of the STLC.
  • Utilize JIRA for test planning, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Conduct performance testing using JMeter.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering with a strong focus on test automation and API testing.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong understanding of STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
Good to have:
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation test frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG.
  • Drive API testing strategies and execution using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Develop and maintain scalable automation test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure quality at every stage of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Utilize JIRA for test planning, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Conduct performance testing using JMeter and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to quality standards across all releases.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation and quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering with a strong focus on test automation and API testing.
  • Expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JIRA, JMeter, and other QA tools.
  • Strong understanding of STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead QA initiatives and mentor team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
