Are you an experienced government relations professional looking for your next challenge? eBay is seeking a Senior Manager, UK Government Relations to join our team in Richmond, London. Reporting to the Director of UK Government Relations, you'll be instrumental in shaping our engagement with the UK government. This role, part of the broader eBay EMEA Government Relations team, requires at least 7-8 years of relevant experience.

What you will accomplish :

  • Analyzing relevant legislative and regulatory proposals, assessing the impact to the business, and building comprehensive strategies to advocate accordingly with UK Institutional policy makers, regulators and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Driving eBay seller advocacy campaigns aimed at the UK Institutions in close coordination with eBay’s seller advocacy team;
  • Briefing and advising UK and international senior leadership on specific political, regulatory and legislative matters;
  • Developing and leading proactive measures to positively influence the public policy dialog on e-commerce and in particular 3rd party marketplaces;
  • Building coalitions and leveraging third-party stakeholders and trade associations to achieve advocacy goals.

What you will bring:

We are looking for a passionate professional, a driven team player with experience in the tech and commerce sector, who is eager to take ownership and lead our engagement on a number of key UK dossiers in areas of great relevance to eBay and its millions of users (including hundreds of thousands of SME sellers). Specific subject matter areas include platform regulation, consumer protection, circular economy, tax, customs regulation, AI, competition, IPR and payment services.
