Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Actively participate in the entire development process from concept to manufacturing
• Apply your creativity to create CAD designs and concepts, considering economic, manufacturing, and functional aspects – preferably using Solidworks and Solidworks PDM
• Play a key role in building prototypes
• Collaborate with colleagues in electronics development, system testing, and quality control to develop the product to manufacturing readiness.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings

Essential Skills and Experience: 

• You have a completed (university) degree in mechanical engineering or precision engineering or an equivalent level of education.
• +5 Years experience
• Proficient in using modern CAD and simulation tools, preferably Solidworks, and ideally have experience in freeform modeling.
• Extensive knowledge of materials in the fields of plastics and metal, along with expertise in modern production processes, including 3D printing SLS/SLA, plastic injection molding, turning/milling, stamping and bending parts, metal casting, and joining techniques.
• Conversational fluency in both German and English, both written and spoken, to facilitate regular organizational and technical communication.
• Strong team orientation, excellent communication skills and a sense of responsibility and self-organization.
• Open-minded, curious, and eager to continuously develop yourself.
