Job Description

WRI Brazil is seeking a Senior PMEL Analyst to support the Restaura Biomas Program, a project in partnership with Conservation International and the Global Environment Facility (GEF). WRI Brazil is the executing agency, collaborating with the Ministry of the Environment to implement the National Policy for the Recovery of Native Vegetation (PROVEG). This program aligns with WRI Brazil's strategy and the Union for Restoration, and is part of a global GEF initiative spanning 20 countries with over $200 million dedicated to ecological restoration.
Must have:
  • Develop, implement, and report the M&E Plan for the Restaura Biomas Program.
  • Structure and refine indicators, methodologies, and tools for monitoring, impact evaluation, and adaptive management.
  • Prepare the project's Results Framework and ensure compliance with CI-GEF and GEF standards.
  • Supervise data collection, analysis, and standardization throughout the program.
  • Coordinate periodic evaluations to measure impact and guide management adjustments.
  • Produce technical and analytical reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Act as a focal point for knowledge management in the project.
  • Support and supervise service providers responsible for developing the Knowledge Management Platform.
  • Organize and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and evaluation findings.
  • Lead technical exchanges with partners on M&E methodologies and tools.
  • Ensure all generated products and learnings are available and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strengthening internal and partner capacities in project management and M&E.
  • Develop and disseminate technical products and tools that improve continuous monitoring and learning.
  • Support the use of M&E as a strategic tool for management and decision-making.
  • Ensure M&E and knowledge management activities are aligned with WRI Brazil's strategy.
  • Participate in institutional activities and contribute suggestions for improving organizational processes and indicators.

WRI Brazil is looking for a professional to work as a Senior PMEL Analyst to support the Restaura Biomas Program, a project developed in partnership with Conservation International as a partner agency of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). WRI Brazil acts as the executing agency, while the Ministry of the Environment (MMA) is the governmental partner, contributing to the implementation of the National Policy for the Recovery of Native Vegetation (PROVEG). The program aims to meet the requirements and objectives aligned with WRI Brazil's strategy and the Union for Restoration.

Restaura Biomas is part of the Integrated Ecosystem Restoration Program, a global GEF initiative that covers 20 countries and has over 200 million dollars allocated to ecological restoration.

Main activities and/or responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and report the M&E Plan for the Restaura Biomas Program.
  • Structure and refine indicators, methodologies, and tools for monitoring, impact evaluation, and adaptive management.
  • Prepare the project's Results Framework and ensure compliance with CI-GEF and GEF standards.

Required qualifications

  • Higher education in Public Policy, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management in complex programs with multiple partners.
  • Familiarity with requirements of international donors, such as GEF and CI-GEF.
  • Excellence in data analysis, technical report writing, and information systematization.
  • Ability to articulate with different actors and coordinate external suppliers.
  • Experience in training and facilitation will be a differential.
  • Advanced English
