Job Description

SimCorp is seeking Software Asset Managers to join its Group Procurement function. This role is crucial for managing IT and compliance, focusing on SaaS Scalability, efficient capital use, and spend management. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing software licenses for compliance, conducting audits, identifying and managing IT license risks, optimizing the license portfolio for cost efficiency, reviewing contract terms, and supporting software procurement. You will also develop and implement license usage policies and collaborate with stakeholders and external suppliers. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in software licensing, knowledge of vendor license models, deep understanding of the software market, experience with SAM tools like Xensam, Snow, or ServiceNow, and strong analytical and communication skills.

IT and compliance are core to what we do in for SimCorp – whether for internal activities or to support our complex service offerings to our clients. SimCorp, a global FinTech company, is offering key positions for Software Asset Managers in our wider Group Procurement function.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Compliance:

  • Monitoring and managing software licenses and their compliance across the organization
  • Conducting license and internal audits and preparing reports on their results; coordinating response to external audits
  • Identifying and managing risks related to IT licenses and contracts. Implementing legal and technological risk management strategies

Cost Effectiveness:

  • Optimizing the license portfolio to mаxіmіzе cost efficiency
  • Reviewing and evaluating contract terms to ensure favourable terms for the organization
  • Working closely with technical teams to understand technology needs and optimize purchases
  • Supporting software procurement including renewals and new purchases

Wider Functional activities:

  • Developing and implementing license usage policies, guidelines and processes to ensure compliance and optimize license utilization
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to define policies that align with business needs and industry best practices
  • Cooperating and maintaining relationships with external suppliers and consulting companies

 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • 5-8 years of experience with software licensing
  • Working knowledge of mаrkеt lеаding vendor license models and willingness to learn
  • Deep understanding of the software market
  • Good understanding and experience with managing and maintaining a software library
  • Broad experience with SAM tools – like Xensam, Snow, ServiceNow
  • Comfortable with multi-source data analysis
  • Knowledge of the licensing rules of software engineering-related vendors (beneficial)
  • Experience with SAM tool implementation/development best practices (bеnеfіcіal)
  • Ability to identify, understand, and prioritize the interests, needs and concerns of various stakeholders, including executive level, from the SAM perspective
  • Еxcеllеnt communication & presentation skills
  • Clear sense of end-to-end ownership
