Summary

Zscaler seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join its Data Protection team. Responsibilities include developing and owning components of a large-scale distributed system, focusing on scalability and troubleshooting. Collaboration with Operations and Support will be required to maintain a healthy cloud environment and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses 5-8 years of software development experience, proficiency in C/C++, expertise in algorithms and data structures, and a strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP/S), Linux/Unix, and distributed systems.
Must have:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Protection team to contribute as development engineer. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Software Engineering. You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and owning components of a large-scale distributed system with a keen sense for and scalability
  • Troubleshoot issues with a hawkish skills
  • Work with Operations and Support (when needed) to help keep a healthy cloud and happy customer and at the end of the day.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 5 to 8 years experience in Software Development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages – C/C++
  • Experience in Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Experience with fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP(S)
  • Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix and good understanding of distributed systems.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience developing large, maintainable software product architectures.
  • Very good debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • BS/MS degree in computer science or related field.
