Job Description

This senior software developer role focuses on functional safety and C++ development for a converged infotainment platform using Android Automotive and QNX with a hypervisor. Responsibilities include developing and enabling this platform, working within automotive project processes and using customer SW development practices, adhering to timelines, and participating in people management focused on mood monitoring and risk assessment. The project strengthens an existing automotive project.

  • Python for automation and integration testing
  • Linux commands and Docker proficiency
  • Fluent English, technical documentation skills

Project description

The scope of this project is to strengthen the automotive project with Functional Safety Engineer and SW development, responsible for the development and enabling of a Converged Infotainment platform solution based on Android Automotive and QNX with a Hypervisor solution. The supplier delivers FuSa Engineer and Senior SW development resources.

Responsibilities

During the project, Luxoft shall: provide experts to work on deliverables with the sufficient qualifications and skills to perform activities as mentioned herein.

Luxoft shall work according to Automotive project defined working processes using customer SW development practice and SW repositories, build systems and CI Chain.

Luxoft experts shall follow the defined and agreed time plan.

Luxoft is responsible for people management setup. The people management setup will be focused on mood monitoring and staff risks assessment.

Skills

Must have

-B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with an emphasis on software development for embedded systems

-Extensive knowledge of C++ programming, with a solid understanding of ASPICE or ISO 26262 standards.

-Over 5 years of experience developing automated tests for embedded systems, specifically in the automotive infotainment sector.

-Skilled in building comprehensive unit and system tests to verify the functionality of software implementations.

-Proficiency in using Python for automation and integration testing

-Proficient in using Linux commands and Docker for development and deployment.

Fluent in English, with the capability to produce clear and concise technical software documentation.

Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and risk mode analysis for requirements.

Nice to have

Experience with QNX Real-Time OS: Proficient in developing applications on the QNX real-time operating system, with a strong understanding of its architecture and use cases in embedded systems.

Functional Safety (FuSA) Engineering: Experience in functional safety engineering, particularly within the context of automotive systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.

In Car Testing: Hands-on experience in conducting Car testing, including performance, reliability, and compliance testing for automotive systems.
