Job Description

As a Senior Technical Animator at Camouflaj Game Studio, you will be working closely with animators, artists, designers, engineers, and producers to develop and maintain high-performance real-time animations and characters within Maya and Unity. Your responsibilities will include creating character rigs, integrating assets into Unity, and developing tools and pipelines to streamline the workflows of animators and character artists. You will also be guiding animation and character art teams on best practices, ensuring designs work with animations, collaborating on animation features and planning. You will also mentor other technical animators, and stay updated with the latest trends in animation and rigging technology.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience as Technical Animator.
  • Experience with maintaining existing codebase of tools.
  • Create tools for Maya and Motion Builder with Python.
  • Proficient with creating body & face rigs in Maya.
  • Experience in model topology and best practices.
  • Experience with animation controllers.
  • Experience in Unity and using C#.
Good to have:
  • Experience in VR development.
  • Experience with Maya C++ API.
  • Experience with Motionbuilder.
  • Familiarity with FACS based character rigs.
  • Familiarity with motion capture workflows.

Camouflaj, the award winning team behind BATMAN: ARKHAM SHADOW, IRON MAN VR and RÉPUBLIQUE is looking for an experienced Technical Animator to join our team of seventy talented developers who collectively pursue the goal of creating high quality, meaningful VR games in an open, honest, and respectful environment. As a Technical Animator you’ll work closely with animators, artists, designers, engineers and producers to develop and maintain performant real-time animations and characters within Maya and Unity. Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Animator or Technical Artist. | 5+ années d’expérience professionnelle en tant qu’animateur technique ou artiste technique.
