Job Description

Invoke is looking for a highly skilled Senior Texture Artist to join their growing team. This role involves defining the quality benchmark for textures and materials, collaborating with other departments, creating and maintaining a high-quality material library, and documenting workflows. The artist will also ensure textures and materials meet performance standards and contribute to the growth of junior artists.
Must have:
  • Work closely with the art direction to define the signature of textures and materials
  • Collaborate with other departments to find solutions to all material needs and texture strategies
  • Create, organize and maintain a library of high-quality materials
  • Create and share guidelines and best practices on the use of materials
  • Document workflows for creating textures and materials
  • Accurately estimate the effort and time required to achieve visual quality
  • Ensure that textures and materials meet performance standards
  • 7+ years’ experience developing high-quality materials for AAA titles
  • Delivered at least 1 AAA and open-world game
  • Expertise in Substance Designer, Substance Painter and other texture creation applications
  • Expertise with modeling software (Maya, Blender, Zbrush, UV creation)
  • Knowledge of the PBR environment
  • Knowledge in optimization
  • Experience as a generalist or modeler
Good to have:
  • Professional experience with Unreal
  • Interest in procedural texturing
  • Contribute to the growth of junior artists, leadership and teamwork across departments
  • Highly creative, collaborative and innovative spirit
  • Initiative to push boundaries

What You’ll Do

  • Create, organize and maintain a library of high-quality materials
  • Create and share guidelines and best practices on the use of materials
  • Document workflows for creating textures and materials

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years’ experience developing high-quality materials for AAA titles
