Senior Unreal Developer with 8+ years experience in simulation technologies, Unreal Engine (C++, Blueprints), Multiplayer, Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD), integrating third-party plugins.

Job Details

The Senior Unreal Developer will help innovate Brightline’s new and growing product ecosystem that leverages groundbreaking spatial computing and AI capabilities. This person will help execute critical development tasks on major contracts and internal efforts to help provide innovative solutions to agencies and companies in both private and public sectors. 


This person should have 8+ years experience in simulation technologies and should have a passion for product development. This role will communicate daily with the CTO and EVP, Products and will work on a team of 6-8 fellow developers. 


Technology Capabilities and Experience

This person will have experience developing within the following simulation frameworks:

  • Unreal Engine (C++, Blueprints)
  • Multiplayer experience
  • Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) (developing with layers, scene composition, variants, etc.)
  • Experience integrating third party plugins and external tools
  • Optimization and performance tuning
  • Foundational/general knowledge of 3D modeling workflows (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)


Nice to have: 

  • Houdini (Digital Assets, Vex, Python)
  • Cesium/Cesium Ion (gLTF, 3D Tiles) 
  • Unity (C#)
  • Experience with Pixel Streaming and cloud-based gaming
  • Working knowledge of AWS solutions (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda and VAMS)
  • Military Simulation background
