Job Description

The Service Governance Analyst will be part of the IT Service Management (ITSM) team. This role focuses on governance and risk management, ensuring the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of IT service delivery. Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating IT Service Management processes, supporting audits, tracking metrics, collaborating with process owners, supporting risk management, participating in governance boards, and providing administrative support. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze complex service operations. Familiarity with ITIL or similar methodologies is a plus. The goal is to support the smooth operation of service governance processes and help maintain service quality and compliance. Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent Service Governance, Senior Analyst to join our IT Service Management (ITSM) team. This role will support the Service Governance activities within ITSM with a specialised focus on governance and risk management. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of IT service delivery across the organisation. You will lead efforts to identify, assess, and manage risks related to IT services, while supporting governance practices that align with ITIL principles and enterprise risk frameworks. You will work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of service governance processes and help maintain service quality and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating IT Service Management processes.
  • Support audits and reviews of processes.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on metrics, Key Performance Indicators, audit findings and risk management as well as compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with process and control owners as well as collaborators to ensure compliance with established metrics.
  • Support risk management process for ITSM, including regular risk assessments, control evaluations, and issue tracking.
  • Participate in governance boards, giving risk-based insights and recommendations.
  • Support audit preparation, evidence gathering, and compliance reporting related to ITSM.
  • Provide administrative support to the service governance team, including maintaining service records, generating reports, and coordinating meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in service management, governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Diligent with strong organisational skills and whilst managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyse complex service operations and translate findings into risk controls and governance improvements.
  • A proactive, problem-solving demeanour and willingness to learn and grow in the field.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), CobiT or similar service management methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred (finance, healthcare, etc.).
