The Software Development Engineer - II DevOps will design, implement, and optimize infrastructure and automation solutions for a scalable, secure, and highly available environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline CI/CD processes, enhance system reliability, and promote infrastructure as code. Responsibilities include infrastructure management, CI/CD pipeline development, containerization & orchestration, monitoring & logging, automation & scripting, and ensuring security and disaster recovery. The engineer will also contribute to managing and tuning databases and working with serverless architectures, ultimately supporting AiDASH in its mission to secure critical infrastructure for a sustainable future.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
  • In-depth experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Proficiency with Git and code repository management.
Good to have:
  • Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or CKA.
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Experience with managing and tuning databases.
  • Knowledge of serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda).

The Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer - II DevOps , who will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure and automation solutions to support a scalable, secure, and highly available environment. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline our CI/CD processes, enhance system reliability, and promote infrastructure as code (IaC).

How you'll make an impact:

    • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc., ensuring smooth deployments and version control.
    • Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability.
    • Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure SLAs.
    • Automation & Scripting: Automate infrastructure management and application deployment using IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure smooth deployments and environment setup.
    • Security: Implement best practices for cloud security, secrets management, and compliance, ensuring the integrity and security of production environments.
    • Disaster Recovery & Backup: Design and maintain disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and data protection.

What we're looking for:

    • Experience: 4+  years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a strong focus on cloud environments, automation, and CI/CD.
    • Cloud Expertise: In-depth experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) including services like EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.
    • IaC Tools: Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
    • Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including managing clusters in production.
    • Scripting Skills: Strong scripting abilities in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
    • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and code repository management.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
    • Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
    • Experience with SRE: Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including error budgeting and service level objectives (SLOs).
    • Database Management: Experience with managing and tuning databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL solutions.
    • Experience with Serverless Architectures: Knowledge of serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
