CSG is seeking a Software Development Engineer – OpenText Exstream with 1-3 years of IT experience. This role involves contributing to the full software development lifecycle, focusing on building and maintaining dynamic customer communication solutions. Key responsibilities include designing, coding, configuring, and debugging OpenText Exstream applications, mapping data files, participating in testing and deployment, and performing system monitoring. The role requires collaboration in code and design reviews and supporting client-facing teams.
Must have:
  • Design, code, configure, and debug OpenText Exstream (Dialogue) applications.
  • Map structured driver/reference data files and use copybooks/layouts for data handling.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle including integration testing, UAT support, and deployment.
  • Collaborate in code reviews, design reviews, and release/build management processes.
  • Perform system monitoring, maintenance, and issue resolution to meet SLAs and industry standards.
  • Work in Unix/Linux environments and manage Exstream version upgrades.
  • Support client-facing teams with application troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Develop reusable components and ensure best practices in performance, security, and compliance.

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer – OpenText Exstream with 1–3 years of experience in IT to join our high-performing team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the full software development lifecycle, focusing on building and maintaining dynamic customer communication solutions using OpenText Exstream, scripting languages, and database technologies.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Skills

  • Design, code, configure, and debug OpenText Exstream (Dialogue) applications including layouts, tables, variables, barcodes, placeholders, and complex business rules.
  • Map structured driver/reference data files and use copybooks/layouts for data handling.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle including integration testing, UAT support, and deployment.
  • Collaborate in code reviews, design reviews, and release/build management processes.
  • Perform system monitoring, maintenance, and issue resolution to meet SLAs and industry standards.
  • Work in Unix/Linux environments and manage Exstream version upgrades.
  • Support client-facing teams with application troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Develop reusable components and ensure best practices in performance, security, and compliance.

Additional Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows OS, C#/.NET/Python, KSH scripting
  • Database proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Agile/Scrum experience preferred; SAFe knowledge is a plus
