As a member of the product development team, you’ll help build the platform that empowers users. Working alongside a cross-functional group of engineers, designers, data analysts, and community specialists, you’ll contribute to meaningful, iterative, and data-driven solutions that improve the user experience.
Your work will span the entire platform—from creating new features to refining functionality and ensuring the system remains reliable. You’ll develop user-focused solutions using modern frameworks and tools such as Ruby on Rails, React, Atomic CSS, Redux, Apollo, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Research, experiment, and iteratively develop products and features that solve real-world problems for users.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of team processes, systems, and technology.
- Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with teammates and across the engineering organization.
Software Engineer Qualifications:
- Professional experience building applications or services with Ruby on Rails and/or web applications using TypeScript & React.
- Bonus: Experience with expressive languages such as Elixir, Python, Elm, or similar (preferred).
- Background in full-stack web development (or a willingness to learn the parts of the stack outside your primary focus).
- Enjoy working collaboratively, contributing to discussions, planning, and software design.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Experience maintaining live products and working iteratively.
- Pragmatic approach to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Passion for delivering high-quality software, including writing thorough tests.
- Consideration for the broader impact of your work, including accessibility, testing patterns, code readability, documentation, security, performance, and data integrity.
- Commitment to knowledge sharing, personal growth, constructive feedback, and continuously improving engineering and team practices.
- Empathy for creators and an understanding of the challenges involved in bringing projects to life.
